UZMFOLOZI TVET COLLEGE INFORMATION
In South Africa, there are only 50 public Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Colleges, and uMfolozi TVET College is one of them. It is one of nine in the province of KwaZulu-Natal. Chief Albert Luthuli, Eshowe, Esikhawini, Mandeni, and Richtek, Sundumbili/Isithebe, Bambanana, and Nkandla are the College’s eight main campuses.
Jininindomnyama, Nseleni, Thubelihle, Alton, Maphumulo, and the ZCBF Community Park are the six skill centres. National business and engineering programmes are available at the College, including the National Certificate (Vocational) and the N4-N6 Diploma.
The College is able to meet the demand for skills training at the grassroots level due to its diverse skill programmes.
uMfolozi College also offers learnership and co-operative programmes.
In Mandeni, the College has a SETA-accredited Training Centre.

UZMFOLOZI TVET COLLEGE COURSES ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Course Requirements for NC(V);
- Students may study for a total of four years for NC (V) Levels 2, 3, and 4 to make up for any topic failures.
- NQF1 (Grade 9) and AET Level 4 are the minimum entry requirements.
- The NC (V) policy has driven and coordinated the admission requirements.
- To determine qualification admission, a point system will be used.
Requirements for 191 Courses;
- The NATED Policy establishes minimum entry standards.
N4 will admit students who have completed Grade 12/NC (V) Level 4. - Students who have completed grades 9, 10, 11, or 12 and choose to pursue a career as an artisan will be admitted to N1 on a point system.
Requirements for Occupational Courses
- Admission requirements are based on QCTO/SETA-approved registered Skills Programs/Learnerships.
- A student who has previously enrolled in NC(V) or Report 191 programmes will only be considered for an Occupational Program if the NC(V) or Report 191 programme has been completed in its entirety (passed all subjects).
Additional Admissions Requirements
- The College Council has created new admission requirements for NC(V) level 2, Report 191 N1, and Report 191 N4 utilizing a point system in order to improve the quality and performance of specialized programs.
