UMGUNGUNDLOVU TVET COLLEGE COURSES ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Course Requirements for NC(V);

  • Students are allowed to study for a maximum of four years for NC (V) Levels 2, 3, and 4 to account for possible topic failures.
  • The minimal entrance requirements are NQF1 (Grade 9) and AET Level 4.
  • The admission requirements have been driven and coordinated by the NC (V) policy.
  • A point system will be utilized to determine qualification admittance.

Requirements for 191 Courses;

  • The NATED Policy defines entrance requirements.
  • Students who have completed Grade 12/NC (V) Level 4 will be admitted to N4.
  • On a point system, students who have finished grades 9, 10, 11, or 12 and choose to pursue a profession as an artisan will be admitted to N1.

Requirements for Occupational Courses;

  • Admission requirements are based on QCTO/SETA-approved registered Skills Programs/Learnerships.
  • A student who has previously enrolled in NC(V) or Report 191 programmes will only be considered for an Occupational Program if the NC(V) or Report 191 programme has been completed in its entirety (passed all subjects).

Additional Admissions Requirements

  • In order to improve the quality and performance of specialized programs, the College Council has developed new admission requirements for NC(V) level 2, Report 191 N1, and Report 191 N4 that use a point system.
