ABOUT TSHWANE NORTH TVET COLLEGE

Tshwane North Technical and Vocational Education and Training College is situated in Gauteng’s Greater Tshwane Metropolis (TNC). It has six campuses, including Mamelodi, Pretoria, Rosslyn, Soshanguve North, Soshanguve South, and Temba, as well as a corporate (Central) Office in Pretoria’s downtown area.
TNC’s five campuses are all within 25 kilometres of the company’s headquarters, with Temba Campus being the most distant (41 kilometres). On the Soshanguve South Campus, the College has a closed hostel that can accommodate 300 students.
However, due to a lack of funding, significant renovations will be required before it can be reopened to house needy students. With a student population of between 20 000 and 21 000, the College employs approximately 327 academics and??? support employees.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ELIGIBILITY
There are several conditions that must be met before applying to any Tshwane North TVET College site to study or obtain a skilled profession.
- You should have a ninth-grade diploma.
- Applicants under the age of sixteen will be disqualified.
- It’s worth noting that for more difficult courses, higher certificates may be required:
- Engineering and advanced courses, for example, necessitate a more advanced level of education.
- Most TVET universities require you to take an admissions exam as part of the application process.
- The college can then assess each student’s numeracy and reading skills.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR TSHWANE NORTH TVET COLLEGE COURSES
Admissions Criteria
- Level 2; Level 3; Level 4; Level 5; Level 6; Level 7; Level 8; Level 9; Level
- A year-end school report for a NQF Level 1 Qualification (STD 7/Form 2/ABET 4) in Grade 9 or higher.
- Grade 11 and 12 students will be given priority.
- A placement test is required in order for the College to refer a learner to the appropriate program.
Subjects That Are Fundamental
- For each level, the following subjects are required:
- 1st Additional Language: English
- Life Orientation in Mathematics

Learners having a score of 26 or above on the admission instrument will be given priority.

- Subject to approval by the Academic Head and Principal, Grade 12 or NCV L4 or National Senior Certificate (NSC) recognized relevant work experience, leadership, or certificate subject to approval by Academic Head and Principal.
