INFORMATION ABOUT TALETSO TVET COLLEGE

Taletso TVET College was established through the merger of Lehurutshe College of Education, Mafikeng College, and Lichtenburg College. The three campuses are located 80 kilometres apart in the North West Province’s Ngaka Modiri Molema District Municipality, with the Central Office in the same yard as the Mafikeng campus.

The college is primarily aimed at students from Itsoseng, Bodibe, Lichtenburg, Boikhutso, Biesiesvlei, Sannieshof, Ottosdal, Coligny, Mafikeng, Lehurutshe, Zeerust, and Botswana, but it is also open to students from other areas. They offer cutting-edge work-related courses that prepare students to enter the workforce as soon as their studies are completed.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ELIGIBILITY

Before applying to Taletso TVET College, make sure you have the following items:

  • You must show proof that you have paid the registration fee.
  • All applicants must take this course.
  • South African citizens must show authenticated copies of their identification documents and birth certificates.
  • Foreign applicants must provide a certified passport or the passport numbers from their passports.
  • Applicants who do not have these items will have their applications denied.
  • Exam Results:
  • Your application must include copies of your grade 11 and 12 results.
  • Applicants who received their grade 11 results before taking their grade 12 exams are still eligible to apply.
  • When applying online or by mail, keep in mind that you’ll need an unmatched email address.

Additional Requirements for Admission

  • The College Council has established new admission requirements for NC(V) level 2, Report 191 N1, and Report 191 N4 using a point system in order to improve the quality and performance of specialised programmes.

Course Requirements for NC(V);

  • Students are allowed to study for a maximum of four years for NC (V) Levels 2, 3, and 4 to account for any topic failures.
  • The minimal entrance requirements are NQF1 (Grade 9) and AET Level 4.
  • The admission requirements have been driven and coordinated by the NC (V) policy.
  • A point system will be utilized to determine qualification admittance.

TALETSO TVET COLLEGE COURSES ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Requirements for 191 Courses;

  • The NATED Policy defines entrance requirements.
  • Students who have completed Grade 12/NC (V) Level 4 will be admitted to N4.
  • On a point system, students who have finished grades 9, 10, 11, or 12 and choose to pursue a profession as an artisan will be admitted to N1.

Requirements for Occupational Courses

  • Minimum admittance requirements based on QCTO/SETA- approved registered Skills Programs/Learnerships.
  • A student who has previously enrolled in NC(V) or Report 191 programs will only be considered for an Occupational Program if they have finished the NC(V) or Report 191 program in its entirety (passed all subjects).
