In the year 2000, Flavius Mareka TVET College was formed by the merger of Sasolburg Technical College, Kroonstad Technical College, and Mphohadi College of Education.
Mr Flavius Mareka, a well-known figure in educational, cultural, and political circles, inspired the college’s name.
He was born in the town of Kroonstad and died in the year 1965.
Flavius Mareka TVET College is located in three locations. The Sasolburg campus is divided into two sections, one for Engineering and one for Business. The Kroonstad and Mphohadi campuses are the other two campuses in the Kroonstad area. Flavius Mareka TVET College is proud to deliver education and training to communities in addition to offering full-time and part-time academic programmes. the three campuses of the university A variety of leadership and skills programmes are available across the country. Smaller towns in the province include Heilbron, Parys, Koppies, and Villiers.

Admission Requirements for NCV Courses
Engineering and Civil Construction
- Grade 9: Pass with 50 percent math and 50 percent science.
- Grade 10: Pass with 50 percent in math and 50 percent in science.
- Failed 50 percent of math and 50 percent of science in grade 11
Mathematics and Science in Grade 12.
Construction of Electrical Infrastructure
- Grade 9: Pass with 50 percent math and 50 percent science.
- Grade 10: Pass with 50 percent in math and 50 percent in science.
- Failed 50 percent of math and 50 percent of science in grade 11
Mathematics and Science in Grade 12.
Engineering and Design Related to Engineering
- Grade 9: Pass with 50 percent math and 50 percent science.

UPP Bridging Programs
If you are denied admission to the university but have a 20-point AP and meet the Minimum Admission Requirements, you may enroll in a University Preparation Program (UPP) to get access.
After successfully completing a bridge year, the program allows prospective students to continue their studies at higher education institutions.
