ABOUT COASTAL TVET COLLEGE

The Tесhniсal and Vocational Eduсаtion and Training (TVET) Colleges Online Application for 2023 is now open for prospective students interested in studying at any of South Africa’s TVET Colleges.

As a result, college administrations are urging students to apply for the 2023-2024 academic year.

You can apply to any of the colleges online by following the link below to their Online Application page. Applicants can also schedule an online application session by visiting the institution.

You can apply online via smartphone, tablet, or computer by entering your PIN and student number on the student i-Enabler. Applicants must apply for both the current and following stages of their application. Check that you have all of the necessary supporting documentation and that all fees have been paid.

COASTAL TVET COLLEGE OFFERS THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS

All students enrolling for the first time at the College must select a course from among the many options available.
Coastal TVET College offers courses in both the National Certificate Vocational (NCV) and the National Accredited Technical Education Diploma (NATED) (NATED).
Courses at the College cover the following topics:

The following Nated (Report 191) Programs are available:

N4–N6 Business Studies

  • Financial Management (Nated)
  • Human Resource Management (HRM) is a term that has been coined by the
  • Nated: Marketing Management Assistant Nated: Management Assistant
  • Nated: Public Administration
  • Tourism is a term used to describe a type of tourism.

N1–N6 Engineering Studies

  • Civil Engineering is an abbreviation for “civil engineering.”
  • Electrical Engineering (Nated)
  • Mechanical Engineering (Nated)
  • Draughting / Multi-Disciplinary Drawing Office Practice

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR COASTAL TVET COLLEGE COURSES

NC(V) Course Requirements;

Students may study for a maximum of four years for NC (V) Levels 2, 3, and 4 to account for possible topic failures.

  • Minimum entrance requirements are NQF1 i.e. Grade 9 and AET Level 4
  • Entry requirements have been guided and aligned to the NC (V) policy. A point system for entry into qualifications will be utilized.

Report 191 Courses Requirements

  • Minimum entrance requirements as aligned by the NATED Policy. Students who have passed to Grade 12/NC (V) Level 4 will be admitted to N4.
  • Students who have passed grades 9, 10, 11, or 12 who want to pursue an artisan career will be admitted to N1 based on a point system.

 Occupational Courses Requirements

  • Minimum entry requirements based on QCTO/SETA-approved registered Skills Programs/Learnerships
  • To be considered for an Occupational Program, a student who has previously enrolled in NC(V) or Report 191 programmes must have fully completed the NC(V) or Report 191 programme (passed all subjects).

Additional Requirements for Admission

  • The College Council has established new admission requirements for NC(V) level 2, Report 191 N1, and Report 191 N4 using a point system in order to improve the quality and performance of specialised programmes.
