Unisa Online Application Date for Applicants

The University of South Africa (Unisa) Online Application date is now available for this academic year.  Anyone wanting to apply online to the University of South Africa may do so from 1 September 2022 to 14 October 2022.

Ways and who should apply to the University of South Africa

Everybody wanting to start  another qualification must apply for an admission to University of South Africa. This involves  a first-time Unisa candidates and Unisa understudies changing to another qualification.

Applicants who have total their Higher Certificate or Alternative Pathway/Extended Program must apply for affirmation and should follow the qualification underline from the University of South Africa.

Applying students getting ready to sign on for classes at a Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) college under the Unisa-TVET agreement must apply for admission.

Quick note for Applicants

Applying students must again re-apply for admission if they have applied already for admission and were given a space, but did not accept the offer to register for any reason.

The university of South Africa  Application fee for applying students

South African Applicants should pay a non-fundable application fee of R105 for online applications.
Applicants also applying via Unisa for a TVET college can use a hardcopy application. Application fee for this is R160.

Submitting Results and Documents

Applying students must note that a complete application, submitted totally online, should add the following materials:

  1. A proof of payment receipt of your application fee (This is a non-returnable required fee for every applicant)
  2. A Certified copy of applicant ID document (ID document is also required for South Africa citizens – your application cannot be processed without a certified copy of your ID and Passport Number for International Applicants take note)
  3. Exam Results: Final Grade 12 results (if available). Grade 11 results (if you currently doing grade 12) are very important for your application. Thus, have it on hand.
  4. A special email address is needed when applying either online or in a hard copy. Note that some of our systems do not accept emails from some of the universities: It is advisable to create and use a Gmail, Yahoo mail address for the application.
